Vector and raster icons

It's hard to imagine a modern interface that ignores the advantages of icons. Remember at least Windows XP, where in the lower left corner there was a green button with the flag of the operating system and the inscription "Start". Now, in Windows 11, it is replaced by a minimalistic icon consisting of white tiles, without any explanation.

The icons are designed to simplify navigation and visual perception of content, as well as emphasize the individuality of products and brands. So, website users know perfectly well that a picrogram with an image of a house will mean going to the main page. At the same time, everyone easily perceives the folder or trash icon. Users of Adobe products will notice familiar shapes and shades from afar. This happens with every element that uses icons in the design.
