Are you an active Linux user, but switched to Windows and miss the past design? In part, we can help you in this situation by adding just fine cursors ported from Gnome 3. They are good because they are absolutely minimalistic and contain absolutely nothing that can be considered superfluous.
Strict design, the core is black, occupying approximately 95% of the area (at least in the main cursor). The remaining 5% is occupied by a white edging that highlights it on dark backgrounds (while the core highlights on light ones).
