Wallpaper Engine 2.2.18 (2.2.6) windows

Wallpaper Engine is the leader among programs for installing video wallpapers on computers running Windows. It has a clear interface in different languages, as well as a dark and light design theme. More recently, it supports synchronization with mobile devices, due to which it allows you to install live wallpapers on smartphones running Android. Among other features, I would like to highlight a unique content format (scene, pkg), which is generated in its own editor, representing compressed shaders and resources. Due to it, the wallpaper has a smaller size and allows you to significantly reduce resource consumption when playing animations on the desktop. 

Interface

The most important thing is located on the home screen: the catalog of installed wallpapers. The "Recommendations" and "Workshop" buttons are also located here. However, they are only available to users of the licensed version - those who bought Wallpaper Engine on Steam. For users of the free copy, there is an "Add" button, which serves to manually replenish the library. mp4/webm videos can be selected in the explorer, and scenes and scripts can be copied to the "projectsmyprojects" directory, which is located in the program folder. 

Opening in the editor will allow you to make any changes to the existing work. The search bar and filter will help you sort the catalog. On the right is the settings menu, presenting a basic list of options for changing the position, color scheme, alignment, playback speed or volume. The range of parameters may differ if it is provided by the wallpaper developer. 

Settings

1. Performance - makes it possible to optimize the program for weak devices. The user can manually set the anti-aliasing level, resolution, frame rate, or enable/disable post-processing and reflections. There are also ready-made presets of low, medium or high quality.
2. General - provides opportunities for changing the language, setting hotkeys, adjusting the color and autoloading the application. There is also the ability to customize the appearance (theme) and global parameters of video/audio playback.
3. Plugins - includes support for Corsair iCUE and Razer Chroma RGB, synchronizing the LED backlight of devices with what is happening on the desktop.
4. About the application - reference and contact information about the developer, as well as access to the history of changes.

How to install Wallpaper Engine?

1. Download and then run .exe of the latest version;
2. Follow the instructions of the installer (basically, you need to click the "Next" button);
3. Install a fresh package ;
4. Run the program, use it!
